Since opening in July 2008, Raleigh Skin Surgery Center (RSSC) has been committed to providing exceptional, personalized care for patients with a wide range of dermatologic needs. Our practice offers comprehensive medical and general dermatology, skin cancer screening and treatment, Mohs Micrographic Surgery, reconstructive surgery, cosmetic dermatology, and aesthetic services.

Dr. Tamara Housman, RSSC’s founder and Medical Director, was Raleigh’s first fellowship-trained Mohs surgeon. With more than 21,000 Mohs surgeries and reconstructive procedures performed, including complex repairs, flaps, and grafts, Dr. Housman brings extensive experience and expertise to the diagnosis and treatment of skin cancer.

Mohs Micrographic Surgery remains a cornerstone of our practice and offers the highest cure rates for many basal cell and squamous cell carcinomas while preserving as much healthy tissue as possible. At RSSC, many skin cancers can be cleared in fewer than two stages on average, helping minimize the extent of surgery and reduce costs for patients and the healthcare system.

Because RSSC is an independent outpatient practice with no hospital affiliation, patients are not charged an additional hospital facility fee for their care.
