Dan Ecclestone’s Retirement Effective 12/31/2022:
“As many of you know I will be retiring from RSSC at the end of the 2022. It’s difficult saying goodbye to so many wonderful patients and colleagues, but my wife Donna and I are eager to move into a new stage of our lives. We are looking forward to traveling, spending more time with family, and learning new things.
Donna and I have both enjoyed working in healthcare over the past 25 years. Her last day at Duke was 12/9/22, and she has already started volunteering part time for a local charity and is enjoying the change. I have a long list of interests and look forward to writing the next chapter starting in 2023!

A nationally certified physician assistant, Dan Ecclestone started his education with a Bachelor of Science degree from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. He moved to North Carolina in 1992 and completed his prerequisite course work at North Carolina State University then attended the State University of New York at Stony Brook Physician Assistant program. His love of North Carolina brought him back to Durham in 1997, where he completed his clinical training at Duke University. Dan’s experience as a physician assistant spans 20 years with the past 11 years spent in the specialty of Dermatology and Mohs Micrographic Surgery. Dan is a fellow of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants and is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants. Dan lives in Cary with his wife, two children, and two dogs. He enjoys biking, sailing and traveling with his family.
